Whenever we go in some public building we always see some fire extinguishers hanging on the wall. But have you ever think of it that how these fire extinguishers work and how they are capable of extinguishing the fire. There are a number of smoke detectors and fire exit gates in any building.

But as normal citizen you must have knowledge of the use of such fire extinguishers so that you can also contribute in saving the life of several people around with your single effort. Most of the times they people just run away from the place of fire if any such tragedy occurs. But what if they are caught in that breakout and finding no way to go out. In that condition if some fire extinguisher is in front of you and you are not aware of its use then it becomes the most unfortunate part of your life. So it is better to train yourself in advance.

Use of a Fire Extinguisher
• First of all you have to pull the pin of the Extinguisher.
• Then you have to Aim the extinguisher at the base of the flame.
• Then just Squeeze the lever.
• Sweep the nozzle and use it on the fire side by side.
